ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP (ATG) is Russia's most modern and highly productive plant for paper sanitary products. It is located near the largest multimodal customs zone in the Kaluga region, Fright Village. The plant is part of the vertically integrated holding company of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, one of the leading pulp and paper companies in Russia and the EU.
It produces toilet paper, paper towels and napkins under the Soffione brand. The products are sold in the former Soviet Union, Eastern and Western Europe.
Production capacity is 210 thousand tons of products a year.
The plant has its own energy centre for the efficient use of thermal energy from the saturated steam used in paper production, as well as innovative waste water treatment facilities.
The complex foundations for the paper machine were laid on the weak soils at -8 m in the closed building contour with sheet pile protection.
Construction work began in autumn 2018. The plant was commissioned in 2019. Investments in the project amounted to more than RUB 10 billion.
PSO-13 is currently constructing the second phase of the plant.
