Description

Founded in 1933, Danfoss has become the world's leading manufacturer of thermal automation, heat exchangers, refrigeration, power electronics and industrial automation.

More than 120 000 types of energy saving equipment are produced in the factories every day. The total number of Danfoss employees is close to 30 000. The products are manufactured at more than 100 plants all over the world, 3 of which are located in Russia: in the Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Tula regions.

In 2007, PSO-13 built the first stage of the Russian Danfoss factory in the Leshkovo Industrial Zone near Moscow. In 2009, the second phase was completed. The total building area of the plant exceeds 27 000 m². The factory employs over 300 people. The production capacity exceeds 600 000 units per year.

Planning solutions

The 6.4 hectares of land comprise the production and administration buildings, the energy block and the guardhouse.

The two-storey production building with a total floor space of 6 317 m² contains the workshops, production areas, quality control laboratory and a high-bay warehouse with 4 050 euro pallets.

The two-storey administration/office building has a floor space of 5 042 m². There are offices, meeting rooms, a conference room, a canteen for 105 seats with a sliding partition, a first-aid station, a gym, engineering, administrative and utility rooms.

The 1 550 m² power unit contains a boiler house, air and refrigeration compressor room, locksmith's shop, office and technical rooms.

Engineering infrastructure

To ensure the smooth operation of the plant, a well-developed infrastructure with a high degree of sustainability has been built on the site: 

  • Water intake plant with two artesian wells and water treatment system
  • Own gas-diesel thermal power plant with installed capacity of 2.4 MW
  • Backup diesel generator with installed capacity of 0.8MW
  • Underground diesel fuel tank with 25 m³ capacity
  • Automatic fire extinguishing pumping station with fire tanks of 800 m³
  • Compressed air compressor station

Water, electricity, gas, heating, cooling, fire alarm, smoke removal, fire extinguishing, lighting, ventilation and air conditioning systems have been integrated into a single automated BMS system.

The buildings and premises of the plant are connected to the communication, radio, video surveillance, access control, fire warning, security and fire alarm systems.
