Danish manufacturer Grundfos is one of Europe's market leaders in pumping equipment. It manufactures more than 16 million pump units annually. The group has representative offices and plants in 56 countries. The company has been operating in Russia since 1992. Grundfos pumps are installed in water supply systems of Russia's largest cities, public utilities, large industrial enterprises, and in life support systems of transport and socially significant facilities.
Since 2005 GRUNDFOS Istra plant built by PSO-13 has been operating in Moscow region. In 2011, the 2nd stage of the plant, also built by PSO-13, was commissioned. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended the opening ceremony.
Today, the total area of GRUNDFOS Istra is 30 000 m², of which 12 000 m² are production facilities, 13 000 m² are storage facilities and 5 000 m² are administrative facilities. The land area covers 10 hectares.
GRUNDFOS Istra produces about 50 000 pumps, control systems and components each year.
Currently the production building "Special Coating Shop" is under construction. The construction area is 763 m².
The production building is intended for locating and functioning of two lines for the application of special coatings on metal parts of pumping equipment. A cataphoresis coating line and a powder coating line are to be installed.
