Description

Founded in 1896, the Dutch company Nutricia is one of the leaders in baby and health food production. Nutricia invests heavily in research and employs more than 200 nutritionists, molecular biologists and chemists who continuously search, develop and innovate to improve the production of speciality foods.

In 2007 the company became part of the Danone Group. Today Nutricia has 21 baby food plants, 49 dairies, 3 health food plants and R&D centres.

During the period from 1995 to 2012 PSO-13 performed works on reconstruction of the existing production and construction of a new production and warehouse complex for Nutricia, conforming to the highest European quality and safety standards. The complex is equipped with modern European equipment.

The total area of the renovated and newly constructed buildings and structures exceeds 31,000 m².

Thanks to its own production facilities, Nutricia has increased its share of the Russian specialised nutrition market to 47%.

efore the start of construction, the old buildings were dismantled, the site was cleared and prepared for construction.

The main building of the new production and warehousing complex contains: warehouses for storing premixes, semi-finished products, packaging materials and finished products; sugar preparation, dry mixing and bagging departments; physico-chemical and microbiological laboratories; offices, a meeting room, a medical centre, wardrobes, administrative and technical rooms.

To improve insolation, skylights have been installed in the roof of the building.

The complex is designed for the installation of 4 production lines with a total capacity of 50,000 tonnes of baby food per year.

Engineering infrastructure

Highly autonomous engineering infrastructure has been built on the site:

  • New power generation unit;
  • Diesel generator station with diesel fuel tanks;
  • Pumping fire-fighting station with fire tanks;
  • Municipal sewage and storm water treatment plant;
  • Gasification plant;
  • Perking area for 54 cars.

The plant is equipped with all the necessary technical and engineering support systems integrated with the unified automated control system.

All equipment, from air conditioning and air purification units to raw material storage and packaging materials, meets the latest European quality and safety standards.
