The concern Perfetti Van Melle is one of the world's largest producers of confectionery and chewing gum. It was formed in 2001 on the basis of the Italian company Perfetti and the Dutch Van Melle. In 2006 Perfetti Van Melle acquired 100% of shares of Spanish family company Chupa Chups.
The group has 38 representative offices and 31 factories. The number of employees exceeds 18 thousand people. Perfetti Van Melle is continuously expanding its activities and is building new factories in Spain, India, Vietnam, China, Nigeria and other countries.
The products are sold in over 150 countries. The company's portfolio includes the world-known brands Mentos, Chupa Cups, Fruit-tella, Meller and Sula, as well as regional Airheads, Big Babol, Center fruit, Daygum, Frisk, Golia, Smint, StopNot, Vigorsol and Vivident.
The company has two production sites in Russia: in St Petersburg and in the Moscow region, in the village of Leschkovo.
The factory in Leshkovo was built in 2009 by PSO-13. It manufactures products under the Meller, Jellies, Alpenliebe, Fruittella, Mentos Gum, ChocoBalls, and Filli-Folly (Cotton Candy) brands. The total area of the factory buildings and constructions is 16,375 m². The annual production volume is 10,000 tonnes.
