PSO-13 is reconstructing the corrugated packaging plant of ARKHBUM in Podolsk
ARKHBUM, one of the largest players on the Russian corrugated packaging market, has announced a large-scale programme for the modernisation and expansion of production facilities at its Podolsk branch.
As part of this programme the company PSO-13 will perform reconstruction of buildings and constructions. The project provides for the reconstruction of three existing production halls and water treatment facilities as well as the construction of a new raw material storage area and infrastructure: a transformer substation, a diesel generator set, parkings for cars and heavy-duty vehicles.
The total area of the buildings and structures will exceed 31,360 m².
During the reconstruction the park of technological equipment will be renovated and expanded: the corrugator BHS will be installed in the shops, as well as production lines EMBA 175QS Ultima, Ward SV-2000 and Bobst Mastercut 2.1.
After the reconstruction, the production capacity of the Podolsk branch will increase from 140 to 200 million m² of finished products per year.
Founded in 1994 JSC "ARKHBUM" is one of the largest companies in Russia producing corrugated board and corrugated packaging. It is a subsidiary of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill. It is a part of the Austrian-German Pulp Mill Holding. Produces a wide range of high-quality corrugated packaging for all kinds of consumer goods.
The company has four plants: two in Istrinsky and Podolsky districts of Moscow Region, and one each in Ulyanovsk and Voronezh regions. All factories are equipped with high-tech equipment made in Europe, Japan and North America. Raw materials for production - high-quality containerboard - are supplied from the Arkhangelsk pulp and paper mill. The total production capacity of ARKHBUM's plants exceeds 1 billion m² of corrugated cardboard per year.
